All Barefoot English saddles are delivered with the Medium pommel as standard.

If you need a wider/narrower insert, you can order one here - it is easily refitted to the front of the saddle, into the zipped pommel pouch.

Inserts are made from PU (Polyurethane) which is more flexible and pliable than fibreglass. It is therefore more accommodating during movement, which is a plus for horses with very loaded shoulders, yet it is stable and keeps its shape. A metal bar inside the PU helps stabilise the material and stops it from breaking.

Please choose the insert you would like from the menu.  The inserts are colour-coded.

'Extra Wide (XXL)'  - for horses with extremely wide 'coldblood' shoulders (Blue colour)

'Wide'  - for broad horses with low withers (Red colour)

'Medium' - for horses with some wither (Grey colour)

'Narrow'  - for very narrow horses with pronounced withers (Natural colour)
