This is a second-hand Frank Baines Elan Close Contact Eventing / Jumping Saddle, 17.5" Nut Brown, Wide / Medium Wide with foam panels and a flap made 2cm straighter than the normal jump flap.

Full grain solid leather for the flaps and skirts, soft and supple French calf leather for the seat and knee pads

Narrow waisted, wide seated tree.  Upswept panel at the rear.

The saddle was originally a wide fit, but as the horse it was made for, matured and changed in shape, it was altered by Frank Baines Saddlery to a Medium Wide.  Since then, the saddle seems to have changed back towards the wide fit (which was pointed out by Frank Baines saddlery that this is what may happen).  So, it no longer fits the horse.

Velcro-on knee and thigh blocks. Double flap saddle.

The panels are foam full panels.

In excellent condition, a couple of marks on the cantle (shown in photos).
