Horsedream Basic Bareback Pad

An innovation engineered by CHRIST of Germany, manufacturers and designers of Horsedream products.
The bareback riding pad sets new standards in terms of riding feel and riding therapy. Tests carried out by independent expert riders and riding therapists have confirmed the positive qualities and the effect of this pad on the rider and the horse.

The bareback riding pad allows particularly intensive riding pleasure. The closeness to the horse produces a strong bond in which the warmth and the movements of the horse can be pleasantly felt.

Stirrup leathers can be attached to metal D rings on this bareback riding pad for better balance (the D rings are attached to strong webbing material that is sewn into the pad).

This pad is ideal for breaking in of horses, sensitive backed horses, children who are being taught to get a good riding position (many RDA groups use them too), and all fields of natural horsemanship.

The bareback pads need a dressage girth and a matching lambskin-lined girth in the length you require is also available as an optional extra.

The CHRIST Lammfelle Basic Bareback PLUS. Available in Horse and Pony sizes. This model is the same as the Basic model but in addition it is padded in the seat area with detachable composite foam inserts on both sides of the spinal canal. This not only increases the comfort for the rider but also the protection for the horse's back.

If you click on the image, you will see a picture with the underside showing - composite foam pads are easily removed/inserted.

The bareback pads need a dressage girth and a matching lambskin-lined girth in the length you require is also available as an optional extra.

Horsedream Premium Bareback Pad

The Premium Bareback pad offers the same fabulous riding experience as the regular Bareback pad i.e. total comfort whilst maximising the harmony between you and your horse.

It aids a natural riding position and allows you to feel every muscle of your horse's reaction to your aids. The premium pad also offers padded knee rolls for even better rider position, and has very strong D rings (attached to strong webbing material that is sewn into the pad) for attaching your own stirrups should you desire. This saddlepad also has an optional ability to take a half tree (sold separately) if so required.

Horsedream Bareback Pad Girth

The Horsedream bareback pads need a dressage girth. You can use any non-elasticated dressage girth which has a good protective backing behind the buckles so they do not dig into the horse's side.

A matching Horsedream lambskin-lined girth in the length you require is available as an optional extra.

This girth has a thick pile (depth approx 30mm) providing a soft, light and breathable surface against your horse. The girth itself is 4" wide but the lambskin lining is slightly wider giving a total of nearly 5" width; this helps to distribute pressure and stop chaffing. The roller buckles are made of stainless steel. Available in natural coloured lambskin. Sizes from 40cm to 90cm long.

Breastgirth for Bareback Pads

Suitable for all Horsedream Bareback pads. Simply clips on to the D rings provided on the Bareback Pad. Stops the pad slipping back on 'rounder ponies'. Lambskin guards with velcro fastening prevent chaffing. One size, simply adjusts to fit all pads.

Half Tree for Premium Bareback Pad

The Half Tree enables you to mount using the stirrups. The half tree can be slid into a specially designed compartment at the front of the Premium and Premium PLUS Bareback pads. Your stirrups can then be attached to the stirrup bars on the half tree, instead of the D rings.

C7 Christ Sheepskin shampoo 250 ml

Special lambskin detergent is advised for washing any genuine lambskin/sheepskin product, and we would recommend C7 detergent made by CHRIST which extends the life of your lambskin/sheepskin product by preventing the natural oils being stripped from the hide, as a regular detergents will.

Available in 250ml bottle.

Set your washing machine to the wool cycle at 30°C. You may add fabric softener during the last rinse. The skin can be spun and then dried in the tumble-dryer using the delicate fabrics programme. If you do not have a dryer, lie the lambskin article out to dry with the wool side facing upwards. Avoid direct sunshine and direct heat sources. Pull the skin back into shape a number of times during the drying process.
